Hello and Welcome!

We’re Allen and Rachel Chin. In 2021, we traded Washington’s rain for the open beauty of Idaho and built Good Shepherd Home around what matters most to us: thoughtful design, meaningful craftsmanship, and homes that truly support the people living inside them. We made the move with our two children, one of whom has special needs, along with our mini Goldendoodle, Cooper, and Biscuit, our Holland lop bunny. Our home is full, lively, and very real, and that lived experience shapes how we approach every space we design.

With over a decade of hands on experience in design, remodeling, and residential improvement, we approach each project with both aesthetic vision and practical insight. Our work is rooted in creating spaces that feel calm, layered, and enduring. We gravitate toward highly textural materials, warm neutrals, and natural elements that bring depth without excess. The goal is never trend driven design. It is restraint, balance, and comfort.

We believe a home should function beautifully, feel grounded, and offer a quiet reprieve from the noise of the outside world. Whether refining a single room or guiding a larger transformation, our focus remains the same: to create spaces that are cohesive, livable, and built to last.
